Web3 Fundamentals

Web3 is the latest innovation in internet technology that seeks to revolutionize the way we interact with digital content and data. Unlike the current web, which is largely centralized and controlled by a few large corporations, Web3 is based on decentralized architecture that provides users with more control over their digital assets and personal data.

This module is designed to guide beginners who are looking to onboard themselves into Web3 and understand more about the blockchain space.

In the first tutorial, we will be going through the basics of Web3 and how popular blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum work. We will also be creating a crypto wallet using MetaMask as it will act as your identity in the Web3 space. Next, we will be learning about non-fungible tokens (NFT) and how to navigate the OpenSea NFT marketplace. Lastly, we will be touching on decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) and how they work on the blockchain. We’ll be using the Snapshot platform to vote on a proposal at the end.
