Module
Data Visualization with Tableau
Data visualisation is the representation of information through different forms of visual aids, including charts, graphs and diagrams. It is a concept that is used for visualising all different types of datasets and is an essential skill for analysing data effectively and identifying trends, patterns and outliers in large datasets. Every industry can benefit from data visualisations by understanding their data better, from helping companies gain insight on the sales of their products to allowing computer scientists to explore advancements in artificial intelligence.
In this module, you will be introduced to data visualisation and how to create basic visualisations in the software tool Tableau without needing any coding knowledge. You will learn a few of the common types of visualisations, the practices to create effective visualisations that are engaging and comprehensive, and build your own visualisations and dashboards for two different datasets. These are the foundational skills and knowledge you will need to know about data visualisation before advancing into creating more complex visualisations and using Python libraries.
